Around twenty five workers from the long-running Care UK strike in Doncaster against pay cuts came to Leeds this Monday 12th May to protest outside the companies office in the city.

Despite being on a main road out of town passers-by stopped to sign a petition in support of the strikers and passings cars, vans and busses tooted in support of the workers who are in the middle of a two-week long period of strike action.
A number of local trade union activists came along to support the strike and drop off donations. Myself and fellow TUSC candidate Kevin Pattison were amongst local supporters on the protest, we had previously held a solidarity protest outside the office a few weeks ago (see report). Afterwards they went in to Leeds to collect for their strike fund.
